A Catholic community for young Africans in the diaspora - gathered in prayer, service, and joyful belonging - and shaped by Ignatian spirituality: the centuries-old Jesuit way of finding God in all things.
What is MAGIS?
More love. More service. More becoming.
The word Magis, meaning "more," calls us to seek the greater good — to love more generously, to serve more selflessly, and to grow more fully into who God has called us to be.
MAGIS USA is a faith-centered home for young Catholics across the African diaspora. Inspired by Ignatian spirituality, we gather in prayer, in service, and in shared cultural joy.
Ignatian spirituality comes from St. Ignatius of Loyola, the 16th-century founder of the Jesuits, who taught that God can be found in all things — in daily choices, in community, in work, and in rest. It's a spirituality of discernment: paying attention to where God is moving in your life, and responding with generosity. That way of seeing — prayerful, practical, and always reaching for "the more" — is the heartbeat of everything we do.
